In this project, a customer requested a refresh of the fleur de lis checkering pattern on their cherished gunstock. My task was to meticulously restore the intricate design, ensuring that each fleur de lis was crisply defined and evenly spaced. Using precision tools, I carefully re-cut the checkering to enhance its visual appeal and improve grip functionality. After completing the checkering, I applied a protective finish to bring out the wood’s natural beauty and provide a durable surface. The revitalized gunstock now showcases a stunning, elegant pattern that honors the firearm's heritage while enhancing its overall aesthetic and functionality.
